Rumour: Xbox To Release Halo: Campaign Evolved In July 2026, Early Access Included

According to new leaks, Microsoft’s highly anticipated Halo: Campaign Evolved is rumored to launch on July 28th, 2026, with early access beginning five days earlier on July 23rd. The leak originates from a Korean retailer who prematurely revealed release information through a pre-demand survey and retailer listing.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake of the legendary 2001 shooter Halo: Combat Evolved, rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5 technology layered on top of existing Halo code and systems. The game is confirmed to release across Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5, marking a significant multi-platform release for the franchise.

The leaked information suggests the game may ship in a Deluxe Edition that includes early access privileges, allowing players to access the title during the five-day early period before the standard launch. The game has reportedly passed rating review by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration board.

This release window comes as Microsoft continues rolling out major first-party Xbox titles throughout 2026, following Forza Horizon 6’s scheduled May 19th release. The Halo remake represents a substantial undertaking—a complete reimagining of the franchise’s foundational title using modern engine technology and making it one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
