Rhythm Heaven Groove Drums Up Switch Release Date

Nintendo has officially announced that Rhythm Heaven Groove will release on Nintendo Switch on July 2, 2026. The rhythm action game was initially revealed during Nintendo’s March Direct last year with only a vague 2026 release window, making today’s announcement a long-awaited specific date confirmation.

The game will be priced at £33.99 in the UK and $39.99 in North America, with both digital and physical versions available. Pre-orders are now live on the Nintendo Switch eShop in both regions, and physical copies can be pre-ordered from the North American My Nintendo Store at the same price as the digital version. The pricing has been welcomed by fans, as it comes in significantly cheaper than many industry observers had anticipated, and is notably less expensive than other recent Switch releases such as Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (£49.99 / $59.99).

Rhythm Heaven Groove marks the fifth entry in Nintendo’s long-running Rhythm Heaven/Paradise series. The game will feature various rhythm-based mini-games, with Nintendo showcasing gameplay from one called “Slice N Dice Kitchen,” which tasks players with catching flying vegetables and chopping them to the beat.

The game will be released under different titles depending on region—Rhythm Heaven Groove in North America and Rhythm Paradise Groove in Europe, continuing the series’ regional naming convention.
