Xbox Achievements are getting some major changes, including the option to hide embarrassing games that you don’t want to show off

Xbox is rolling out significant updates to its Achievements system, with new features currently available for Xbox Insiders to test before a broader release. The changes are designed to give players greater customization and control over how they showcase their gaming accomplishments.

The primary update includes a visual refresh to Achievement displays. While the traditional green styling remains available, players will now be able to customize Achievement colors to match their profile theme, creating a more personalized appearance. The update also introduces refreshed icons and animations for a more modern look.

Beyond aesthetics, Xbox is adding functionality that addresses player preferences around profile presentation. Players will gain the ability to highlight specific 100 percent game completions they’re particularly proud of, allowing them to curate which achievements receive prominence on their profiles. Conversely, the new system allows players to hide games they don’t want to showcase, addressing the common desire to keep certain gaming habits private.

Additionally, the update includes customization options for Achievement pop-up notifications, giving players more control over how they’re notified when unlocking achievements during gameplay.

These changes suggest Xbox is responding to community feedback about profile visibility and personalization. The phased rollout through the Xbox Insider Program allows Microsoft to gather feedback and refine the features before making them available to all Xbox players.
