Xbox Achievements are getting some major changes, including the option to hide embarrassing games that you don’t want to show off
Microsoft is rolling out significant updates to its Xbox Achievements system, with new features currently available for testing among Xbox Insiders ahead of a broader public release.
The overhaul introduces several customization options designed to give players greater control over how their gaming accomplishments are displayed. Users will be able to customize Achievement pop-up notifications, allowing them to personalize how these notifications appear while they’re playing.
One of the notable additions is the ability to highlight and showcase specific 100 percent game completions that players are particularly proud of. This feature allows gamers to curate their achievement showcase and draw attention to the games where they’ve achieved perfect completion.
Equally significant is a new privacy-oriented feature that enables players to hide games from their achievement profile that they prefer not to publicize. This addresses a common concern among gamers who may have completed games they consider embarrassing or simply don’t want prominently displayed on their public gaming profile.
These changes reflect Microsoft’s effort to modernize the Xbox Achievements system and provide players with more granular control over their gaming identity and how they present themselves to other players. The features are being tested through the Xbox Insider Program, which allows selected users to evaluate new functionality before it becomes available to the entire Xbox user base. This approach gives Microsoft valuable feedback and helps ensure the features work smoothly before the official rollout.
