Gundam’s new trailer has me dreaming for an Armored Core anime
Bandai Namco has unveiled a new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s sequel, titled The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. The brief teaser, running less than two minutes, delivers impressive animation and dynamic action sequences that have generated significant interest from audiences.
The release has sparked renewed discussion about the disparity in media adaptations among major FromSoftware franchises. While the studio’s properties have recently seen substantial multimedia expansion—including a dedicated Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice anime series and a live-action Elden Ring film—the Armored Core franchise has received comparatively minimal adaptation attention. To date, Armored Core’s only significant appearance in animated form was a 30-minute episode in Prime Video’s anthology series Secret Level.
This contrast highlights how investment in game-to-media adaptations remains inconsistent. Despite Armored Core’s strong critical reception and dedicated player base, the franchise lacks the major anime or film projects that other FromSoftware titles have received, leaving fans to speculate about future adaptation opportunities.
