Amazon shakes up Luna streaming service, removing access to individual games, third-party subscriptions, and its “Bring Your Own Library” feature
Amazon has announced significant changes to its Luna cloud gaming service, effective June 10th, 2026. Players who purchased individual games or third-party subscriptions before the April 10th deadline will lose access to them, with no refunds offered for prior purchases.
The restructuring eliminates several key features: the ability to link third-party subscription services such as EA Play and Ubisoft+, access to individual game purchases, and the “Bring Your Own Library” feature that previously enabled this cross-service functionality. The service will now focus exclusively on Luna’s own subscription offerings.
The two-month notice period provides limited time for affected players to adjust. The removal of third-party integrations represents a significant strategic pivot for Amazon, consolidating game access around its proprietary service and potentially impacting users who valued the cross-platform game library functionality.
