Two First-Party Switch 2 Ratings Have Been Spotted

Two upcoming first-party Nintendo games have received official age ratings through European classification boards. Splatoon Raiders, a spin-off of the popular Splatoon franchise, has been rated PEGI 7, while Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave has been updated from a provisional rating to PEGI 12. These ratings were discovered on Nintendo’s European webpages, providing confirmation of the games’ content classifications.

Splatoon Raiders is set to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, though its specific release date remains to be announced. The game marks a new direction for the Splatoon series with a spin-off format. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, also confirmed for Switch 2, has been officially scheduled for release sometime in 2026, though Nintendo has not yet specified an exact launch window beyond the year.

These developments come as Nintendo continues to build its Switch 2 library. The company has established a robust release schedule for early 2026, including Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on Switch launching next week, followed by Yoshi and the Mysterious Book in May for Switch 2. Additionally, Nintendo has confirmed that Rhythm Heaven Groove will arrive on Switch in July.

The PEGI rating system indicates content suitability for European audiences, with PEGI 7 suggesting the title is appropriate for players aged 7 and above, while PEGI 12 indicates suitability for ages 12 and above. These classifications help consumers understand the content nature of each game before purchase.
