Avatar Aang Movie Footage Seems to Have Leaked Months Ahead of Paramount+ Premiere

More than three minutes of footage from the upcoming animated film Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender leaked online on April 12, 2026, several months ahead of its scheduled Paramount+ premiere. The clips were shared by X user @ImStillDissin, who claimed that Nickelodeon had “accidentally” emailed them the entire completed film.

The leaked footage provided the first substantive public look at the project, which had been shrouded in mystery. The clips showcased the film’s animation quality, introduced the new voice cast, and revealed key plot details. The first clip showed Team Avatar together as they heal an ancient Airbender who had been trapped in ice—mirroring Aang’s own origin. The second clip appeared to be from later in the film, depicting the ancient Airbender attempting to pull a temple from the Spirit World.

The leak rapidly gained traction on social media, with the original post accumulating more than 100,000 likes before Paramount’s copyright enforcement team intervened. By April 12, the footage had been removed from X, replaced with a notice stating: “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

As of the time of reporting, Paramount has not publicly commented on the leak or its circumstances. The incident raises questions about how the complete film came to be distributed via email. The movie remains scheduled for its Paramount+ premiere at an unspecified date later in 2026.
