Careful, huge spoilers are out for James Bond game 007: First Light, following an Indonesian Game Rating leak

A security vulnerability in the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) has accidentally exposed significant story spoilers for multiple unreleased games, most notably IO Interactive’s 007: First Light. The breach occurred when private gameplay footage submitted by developers for age classification purposes became publicly accessible through the IGRS website.

Over one hour of 007: First Light footage has been discovered circulating online, including what appears to be the game’s ending. The game is scheduled to release on May 27, 2026, making the premature exposure of such substantial spoilers particularly unfortunate for developer IO Interactive, which had carefully guarded plot details ahead of launch. The leaked material also compromised the security of thousands of developer email addresses stored on the ratings board’s platform.

Beyond 007: First Light, the security flaw affected other upcoming titles, including Bandai Namco’s Echoes of Aincrad and Castlevania. Verification from gaming media outlets has confirmed that the leaked footage is genuinely circulating across online platforms, prompting gaming communities to exercise caution to avoid inadvertent spoilers. The incident highlights security vulnerabilities within regional game rating systems and the risks posed to confidential pre-release materials when protective measures are inadequate.
