Marvel Comics Reveals DNX, Its Next Big X-Men Crossover

Marvel Comics has announced DNX, a major new X-Men crossover event featuring the X-Men and Fantastic Four teaming up against a threat from within their own ranks. The limited series, written by Jed MacKay (who currently helms Marvel’s X-Men series) and illustrated by Federico Vincentini (Imperial), will pit Cyclops and his team against the mutant terrorist organization 3K and its leader, the Chairman—revealed to be one of the original X-Men who plans to forcibly transform humanity into mutants.

DNX builds directly on recent developments in MacKay’s ongoing X-Men run and the Age of Revelation crossover event, suggesting deep continuity with the current Marvel mutant narrative. The series aims to leverage the momentum of MacKay’s well-received work on the flagship X-Men title.

Following Marvel’s recent publishing strategy, the first issue will be released as a “True Believers Blind Bag” edition, a variant cover gimmick featuring randomly selected exclusive artwork. This approach has become a staple of Marvel’s high-profile launches, driving collecting interest and retail engagement.

The collaboration between X-Men and Fantastic Four marks another significant team-up in Marvel’s interconnected universe, potentially signaling broader consequences from the DNX event across multiple franchises. With MacKay’s strong track record on the X-Men and Vincentini’s acclaimed work on Imperial, the crossover appears positioned as a premium event in Marvel’s 2026 publishing calendar.
