Qualcomm’s next PC gaming move on Snapdragon X starts with 25 “adapted” titles from NetEase, Marvel Rivals included
Qualcomm is making a concerted push into Windows gaming on ARM with the launch of its Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme processors in new ARM64-based laptops. The company has partnered with NetEase to bring 25 “adapted” gaming titles to the platform, including Marvel Rivals.
The collaboration signals Qualcomm’s ambition to establish gaming viability on Windows ARM devices, positioning them as power-efficient alternatives to traditional x86 laptops. The ASUS Zenbook A16 exemplifies the potential of Snapdragon X-powered machines, offering MacBook-level efficiency paired with gaming capability.
However, the “adapted” nature of NetEase’s titles—suggesting optimization or modification rather than native development—highlights an ongoing challenge for Windows on ARM gaming: the platform still lacks widespread developer support and native game ports. Despite this hurdle and the dubious track record of ARM gaming adoption on Windows, the partnership represents a deliberate industry effort to build game library momentum for Qualcomm’s latest processors.
