The Original Gothic RPG Trilogy Gets Three Separate 2026 Release Dates on PS5, PS4
All three original Gothic games are coming to PlayStation 5 and PS4 in 2026, with each title launching separately throughout the year. The first game releases July 28, followed by Gothic 2 on September 29, and Gothic 3 on November 24, each priced at €29.99.
This release strategy is part of a broader Gothic series revival that includes a full remake of the original Gothic, scheduled for June 5 on PS5. While these classic European RPGs have traditionally been associated with PC gaming and show their age by modern standards, the staggered release suggests publisher confidence in their nostalgic appeal to fans.
The quarterly release schedule gives players the opportunity to experience each title across the year without overwhelming launch windows. These PlayStation ports represent a growing trend of classic games receiving platform expansions, introducing the beloved series to new audiences while serving longtime fans eagerly awaiting the upcoming remake.
