League of Legends Patch 26.8 Champion Buffs and Nerfs
League of Legends Patch 26.8 introduces three champion buffs and three nerfs as Riot Games continues its strategy of smaller, iterative balance updates. The studio has opted against a major mid-season overhaul this year, instead pursuing frequent patches to maintain player engagement without significant meta disruption.
Dr. Mundo receives notable jungle nerfs, with his clear speed reduced to slow his scaling progression into late-game dominance. His Q ability, Infected Bonesaw, has its monster damage cap decreased across all ranks, preventing him from becoming an unkillable threat. Additional details on the remaining nerfs are unavailable from the excerpt.
Beyond champion adjustments, Patch 26.8 introduces quality-of-life improvements including Discord integration and champion-specific keybinds, as detailed in the latest League of Legends development update. These additions reflect Riot’s continued investment in improving player experience and accessibility features within the competitive MOBA.
