Star Trek Lower Decks and Deep Space Nine games launch on Kickstarter

Beadle & Grimm’s, known for immersive themed gaming experiences, is launching two new Star Trek-themed games via Kickstarter on April 13, 2026. The campaign follows the company’s successful 2025 releases featuring a Picard murder mystery game and a Strange New Worlds escape room in a box.

The two new titles are Deep Space Nine: Holosuite Homicide and Lower Decks: Chaos Protocol. The Deep Space Nine entry tasks players with solving a mystery and proving the innocence of one of the franchise’s morally questionable characters, while the Lower Decks game incorporates the comedic chaos the animated series is known for.

According to Beadle & Grimm’s co-founder Bill Rehor, accessibility to franchise newcomers was a key priority in game design. “For all four of these games, we had to come up with a story that was interesting and compelling and understandable, no matter how much or how little of Star Trek you knew,” Rehor explained, noting that the games avoid heavy reliance on specific Star Trek lore. This approach aims to appeal to both dedicated fans and casual players unfamiliar with the franchise.

The two new releases represent Beadle & Grimm’s continued expansion of Star Trek tabletop gaming experiences, demonstrating the franchise’s appeal across multiple gaming mediums beyond traditional video games.
