Some cult classic retro Warhammer games are now on sale for Steam, including one cult classic that may be great for the Steam Deck
Games Workshop and SNEG have launched the Warhammer Classics Collection on Steam, bringing over 20 classic Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 games to the platform for the first time. Seven titles are making their Steam debut, with a concurrent sale event covering the entire catalog.
The collection includes notable releases such as the 1995 RTS Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, the turn-based tactics game Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate, Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000, and Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior. Several games are returning to Steam after having been previously removed from the platform.
One standout title in the collection has been highlighted as a cult classic particularly well-suited for Steam Deck play. These games have historically been difficult to obtain legally, making this collection significant for game preservation and providing renewed access to classic entries in the Warhammer universe.
