Wuchang: Fallen Feathers developer reportedly dissolves core team after director’s exit

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike action-RPG developed by Leenzee and published by 505 Games, faces an uncertain future after its core development team reportedly dissolved. The game achieved commercial success following its summer 2025 release, with the publisher noting it “achieved significant sales volumes.”

The dissolution stems from the departure of Xia Siyuan, the game’s producer and director, who left Leenzee before the Lunar New Year period in early 2026. According to Chinese gaming sources including Gamersky, Siyuan was fired from the studio and has since established a new company elsewhere.

Following Siyuan’s exit, Leenzee reportedly offered the remaining development staff reassignment to other projects or support roles on different titles. However, most team members declined these offers, leading to the effective dissolution of the Wuchang development team. This has resulted in the game receiving no major updates for several months.

While Leenzee has not publicly confirmed the situation, multiple sources have verified the reports. The team’s dissolution raises questions about the game’s long-term support and future content prospects, despite the title’s demonstrated financial performance.
