Amazon MGM Studios at CinemaCon 2026: Everything Announced (Updating Live!)
Amazon MGM Studios revealed plans for its upcoming film slate at CinemaCon 2026, providing updates on multiple high-profile projects. Among the announcements were developments on Masters of the Universe, I Play Rocky, Madden, The Beekeeper 2, The Thomas Crown Affair, Spaceballs 2, Highlander, Voltron, and the untitled 26th James Bond film. The presentation showcased new footage from Masters of the Universe, featuring a scene with the protagonist Adam in the back of a police car being mocked by officers, offering a glimpse into the film’s tone and narrative setup.
The event was not streamed online, limiting public access to real-time announcements. However, IGN journalists attended the presentation in person and provided live coverage of all major announcements as they were revealed. This approach allowed Amazon MGM Studios to control the presentation experience while ensuring media outlets could deliver breaking news to their audiences. The diverse slate of projects reflects the studio’s strategy of combining original IP development with adaptations of established franchises and properties, spanning action films, comedies, and major franchise entries.
