FaZe Clan Announce FaZe Up Next Rainbow Six Academy Team
FaZe Clan has announced the formation of FaZe Up Next, a new academy programme for Rainbow Six Siege announced on April 14. The initiative aims to develop the next generation of competitive esports talent while building on FaZe’s dominant position in the Rainbow Six competitive scene.
The announcement comes as FaZe continues to support its main Rainbow Six roster, which recently cemented its status as the world’s elite team. FaZe’s all-Brazilian squad won the Six Invitational earlier this year—their second consecutive victory at the prestigious tournament. The organisation has now reached the Six Invitational finals for three consecutive years, underscoring their sustained dominance in competitive Rainbow Six.
To strengthen both its immediate competitiveness and long-term talent pipeline, FaZe is recruiting promising young players through the new academy programme. While specific roster details for the academy team remain limited in the initial announcement, the initiative signals FaZe’s commitment to nurturing emerging esports professionals within the Rainbow Six community.
The announcement sparked some surprise among the broader esports community, with Counter-Strike fans expressing frustration over the lack of updates regarding FaZe’s CS roster following the departure of in-game leader karrigan to Team Falcons—a significant move that had shaken the competitive Counter-Strike landscape.
