Fortnite Adds Karaoke Mode, and Laufey
Fortnite is expanding its Festival mode with karaoke functionality, allowing players to sing along to tracks using compatible microphones on PC and console platforms. The update arrives tomorrow, April 16, coinciding with the launch of a new Festival season featuring jazz pop artist Laufey, known for her hit “Madwoman.”
The update introduces several gameplay enhancements. Players can now use microphones to perform vocals across the Festival mode’s extensive music library. Additionally, a new Pro Drums option enables players to connect Rock Band 4 or compatible MIDI drum kits for more authentic rhythm gameplay. The update also brings a quality-of-life improvement allowing players to move freely while playing instruments in other Fortnite modes, rather than being locked in place during performances.
As with previous Fortnite Festival seasons, the new season will be accompanied by a Music Pass system, which provides access to additional content and benefits. These regular seasonal updates have become a cornerstone of Fortnite’s live-service strategy, continuously evolving the Festival mode to maintain player engagement with new artists, features, and gameplay mechanics.
