LFL’s Galions and Solary Will Face LEC Teams For EWC Qualification
Two French League of Legends teams from the regional LFL league have earned spots in the newly introduced EWC 2026 EMEA Qualifier following their performance in the EMEA Masters Winter tournament.
Solary and Galions will first compete against each other for the EMEA Masters Winter trophy on April 21. However, their accomplishments have earned both teams an additional prize: qualification for the Esports World Cup’s regional qualifying tournament.
In the EWC EMEA Qualifier, the two LFL teams will face all 10 teams from the premiere LEC (League European Championship) to compete for two spots at the main Esports World Cup 2026 tournament, which will be held in Saudi Arabia. The qualifier brings together the EMEA Masters finalists with the entire LEC roster, creating a high-stakes competition between regional and tier-one professional teams.
The main EWC 2026 League of Legends tournament will feature elite international teams including Gen.G and other top competitors from around the world competing for substantial prize pools. This represents a significant opportunity for the LFL representatives to prove themselves against the region’s best.
The introduction of the EWC EMEA Qualifier this year marks an expanded pathway for competitive League of Legends teams to reach one of esports’ most prestigious tournaments. For Solary and Galions, it provides a chance to compete at the highest regional level and potentially reach the international stage.
