Overwatch Players Want The New Hero’s Ultimate To Be Nerfed

Overwatch’s Season 2 launch has introduced Sierra as the 51st playable character, but players are already calling for significant adjustments to her ultimate ability. Sierra’s ultimate, which builds when her charge reaches 1800 points, deploys a powerful drone that drops 23 explosive charges across an area. Each bomb deals 180 damage with an impact radius of 3 meters, making the ability extremely effective at eliminating multiple enemies simultaneously.

The exceptional damage output has drawn widespread criticism from the community, who argue that players using slower-moving characters have limited defensive options to escape the blast radius or seek cover. While players have expressed enthusiasm for other aspects of Sierra’s design—particularly her grappling hook mechanic—the ultimate ability’s overall power level has emerged as the primary concern for competitive balance.

This early feedback suggests Blizzard Entertainment may need to implement adjustments to Sierra’s ultimate, potentially reducing the damage per bomb, decreasing the total number of bombs dropped, or modifying the ability’s area-of-effect radius to bring it more in line with other heroes’ ultimate abilities.
