Reminder: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Adds Angry Birds Racer ‘Red’ As Free DLC
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds continues its post-launch content strategy with the addition of Red from Angry Birds as a playable racer. This free DLC update brings the iconic bird character to the crossover racing game, expanding the game’s roster with a notable franchise crossover.
Red arrives with a custom vehicle called the “Super Roaster,” along with exclusive cosmetic content including special emotes and character sounds. The update also introduces three new tracks to the game’s jukebox feature: “Go! Theme,” “Go, Theme! - Final Lap,” and the “Angry Birds Theme,” giving players fresh audio options during races.
Alongside the character addition, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is launching a new festival event that provides players with additional cosmetic rewards. Participants can earn decals, gadgets, and other items through this limited-time event.
The DLC is available as a free download for players on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, continuing the game’s pattern of regular content updates since its launch. The title has maintained an active post-launch content schedule with both complimentary and premium DLC offerings, demonstrating ongoing support for the player community.
