First-person survival horror Total Chaos is getting a Switch 2 port later this month
Total Chaos, a first-person survival horror game originally created as an ambitious Doom 2 mod before being remade as a standalone title with enhanced production values, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The port launches on April 29th, joining the game’s existing availability on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The Switch 2 version delivers flexible performance options tailored to player preference. In docked mode, the game runs at 1080p resolution, while handheld mode delivers 720p. Both modes support adjustable framerate settings, with options targeting 60 FPS for players prioritizing smooth gameplay over maximum visual fidelity.
This port expands Total Chaos’s reach to Nintendo’s latest hybrid console, bringing the survival horror experience to portable play. The game has already established a notable presence on other platforms since its transition from fan-created mod to commercial standalone release, demonstrating the potential for community-driven projects to reach broader audiences.
