Paramount Pictures at CinemaCon 2026: Everything Revealed
Paramount Pictures showcased its upcoming slate of films at CinemaCon 2026, with several major announcements highlighted during the presentation. The studio presented new footage and updates for multiple upcoming projects, including Street Fighter, Scary Movie, Jackass 5, Children of Blood and Bone, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, and A Quiet Place Part III.
A major announcement came with the official confirmation that Top Gun 3 is in active development. Tom Cruise will reprise his iconic role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, with Jerry Bruckheimer returning as producer. The script is currently in progress, though no other cast members have been confirmed to return at this time. Director Joseph Kosinski previously indicated the film would tackle a larger, existential storyline for the Maverick character, suggesting an ambitious scope for the sequel.
Paramount’s presentation also featured a notable appearance from WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, who arrived at the event fully dressed as Guile, the character he plays in the upcoming live-action Street Fighter adaptation. Rhodes’ full costume display generated significant buzz at the event as he joined the rest of the Street Fighter cast to promote the film. The appearance comes ahead of a newly teased Street Fighter trailer set to release publicly.
The presentations underscored a larger strategic shift for the studio. CEO David Ellison of Paramount Skydance addressed the audience regarding the company’s pending acquisition of Warner Bros., outlining plans to release a minimum of 30 new films annually across both combined studios once the merger is finalized.
