PSVR2 Will Take Off Again When Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 Arrives Later This Month

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will receive PlayStation VR2 support when Sim Update 5 launches in the week of April 20th, according to an announcement from developer Asobo Studio. The long-awaited VR support represents a significant milestone for PS5 players who have been waiting to experience the simulation in virtual reality.

Alongside PSVR2 compatibility, Sim Update 5 introduces the first batch of third-party content to the PS5 version’s Marketplace. Asobo Studio noted that add-ons are released in phases rather than all at once, as each piece of content requires individual processing and integration into the platform.

The update underscores Asobo Studio’s ongoing commitment to expanding Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 across multiple platforms with regular feature additions and content drops. VR support on PlayStation platforms has been a frequently requested feature since the game’s launch, and its arrival brings the PS5 version closer to parity with other platforms in terms of gameplay options.
