How To Increase Inventory Space In Windrose

Windrose is a survival game where players start with limited resources on a deserted island and must scavenge to build a base and essential tools. The game presents several progression systems that players must navigate to advance effectively.

The game’s inventory system poses an early challenge. The default inventory provides only 16 slots (excluding the character action panel), which quickly becomes restrictive as players collect resources and items. Inventory space can be expanded through accessories, allowing players to carry more supplies as they progress.

Traversal across Windrose’s expansive map presents another significant challenge. Despite obtaining a ship capable of traveling at 20 knots, reaching main story destinations still requires several minutes of travel time, and fetch quests demanding travel between multiple locations consume substantial playtime. The game provides a fast travel system enabling immediate traversal between locations, though the mechanic is described as limited and somewhat confusing, requiring fast travel bells to function.

Base building and crafting form a third core progression system. The standard workbench is among the first structures players build and serves as the foundation for crafting supplies and healing items. As players advance, they unlock additional specialized workbenches designed to craft specific items and gear. Each workbench begins at level one and can be upgraded to unlock increasingly advanced crafting recipes, creating a clear progression path for players investing in base development.
