Indie Racer Formula Legends Gets Officially Licensed Formula E Expansion
Developer 3DClouds has secured an official licensing partnership with the FIA Formula E World Championship for its racing game Formula Legends. The “Formula E: Electric Evolution” expansion will launch on April 30, 2026, across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, with Nintendo Switch support arriving at an unspecified later date.
The expansion features a comprehensive roster of officially licensed manufacturers, drivers, and teams from the Formula E championship. Players will gain access to six real-world circuits used in the Formula E series: Berlin, Tokyo, London, São Paulo, Miami, and Shanghai. Consistent with Formula Legends’ approach to representing racing across multiple eras, the expansion includes vehicles from three generations of Formula E cars: GEN1, GEN2, and GEN3 models.
The partnership represents a significant licensing achievement for the indie developer, bringing authentic Formula E content to the game. The expansion adds electric racing to Formula Legends’ existing motorsport portfolio, offering players multiple championship-level racing experiences.
