Review: Hautepad C-AT Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 – Unparalleled Versatility
Cosmox Gaming has released the Hautepad C-AT, an affordable arcade controller for Nintendo Switch featuring innovative adjustable-travel technology. Priced at £90, the controller builds on the earlier Hautepad C16 series with a design that offers versatility typically found in significantly more expensive alternatives.
The defining feature is the controller’s adjustable-travel buttons, indicated by the “AT” in its name. Players can instantly modify button height by rotating an outer ring surrounding each input, enabling real-time customization without purchasing additional components. This functionality brings the C-AT into direct competition with premium options like the Hit Box Ultra, despite its substantially lower price point.
Despite its budget positioning, the C-AT delivers both versatility and functionality. The controller maintains a lightweight design through plastic materials, making it an accessible option for players seeking arcade-style controls. The adjustable-travel feature allows users to fine-tune their input experience based on personal preference, removing barriers to entry for those interested in fight sticks and arcade controllers without committing to premium pricing.
