Star Wars: Marvel Reveals a Forgotten Battle Between Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett
Marvel is expanding the Star Wars universe with new canonical content that reveals an earlier encounter between Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett than audiences previously believed existed.
Historically, the theatrical films presented Return of the Jedi as the first and only time these two iconic characters faced off in direct combat. However, Marvel’s new comic series Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge - Echoes of the Empire #1 is establishing a previously untold battle that took place before the events of Return of the Jedi.
The new series is designed to bridge the gap between the Star Wars films and the mythology surrounding Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge theme park, specifically bringing Original Trilogy characters to Batuu, the park’s fictional planet setting. This narrative expansion serves to justify the presence of these legacy characters within the theme park experience, creating a more cohesive storytelling experience across multiple Disney properties.
