Repair a Broken Android and Unlock Her Memories in This Lo-Fi PS5 Game

“Save My Scrap” is a lo-fi puzzle-based visual novel heading to PlayStation 5 on April 30th. The game is an expanded version of the previously free title “Fix My Junk,” capitalizing on the growing popularity of lo-fi gaming experiences that balance atmospheric storytelling with minimalist design.

The game centers on the relationship between Miomaru, a client, and Harima, a broken-down android that you’ll repair throughout the story. As a mechanic, players progress through jigsaw-style puzzles that involve connecting circuits, pipes, and cords to gradually restore the android to working condition. The repair sequences serve as the primary gameplay mechanic, driving both the narrative and mechanical progression.

As you repair Harima, you gain access to her memories, which gradually reveal the history and emotional depth of her relationship with Miomaru. Like most visual novels, player choices throughout the story will influence the narrative direction and outcome, allowing for multiple playthroughs with different story branches.

The game arrives amid a surge in lo-fi game popularity, following successful titles like World of Horror and Needy Streamer Overload. “Save My Scrap” appears to add a haunting, emotional dimension to the lo-fi genre, combining puzzle-solving mechanics with narrative-driven storytelling.
