Ghost of Yotei Actor Would ‘Jump At’ Chance to Play Atsu Again
Erika Ishii, voice of protagonist Atsu in Ghost of Yotei, has expressed her enthusiasm to reprise the role should developer Sucker Punch Productions decide to expand the game’s story. Speaking ahead of the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards, Ishii revealed that the character holds a special place in her heart and she would “jump at” the opportunity to return to the role.
Ishii’s performance as Atsu earned her a nomination for Performer in a Leading Role at this year’s BAFTA Games Awards. Ghost of Yotei, released in 2025, has established itself as one of the year’s standout titles. However, Ishii’s nomination was ultimately unsuccessful, with the award going to Jennifer English for her portrayal of Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Despite not taking home the award, Ishii’s vocal work in Ghost of Yotei has been widely recognized within the industry. Her comments suggest openness to future projects within the Ghost of Yotei universe should the narrative opportunity arise, indicating both her fondness for the character and potential interest in extended storylines or sequels.
