Two Long-Awaited Xbox Indies Have Sadly Been Delayed Out Of April

Two long-awaited Xbox indie titles have been delayed out of April. Outbound has been rescheduled from April 23rd to May 14th, while He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction has been postponed from April 28th to a summer release date to be determined later.

The Outbound development team explained their decision to delay the game, citing a critical issue discovered late in development that could negatively impact the player experience. The team determined there was insufficient time to guarantee a simultaneous release across all platforms on the originally scheduled date. This decision reflects their commitment to delivering a quality product across all target systems rather than proceeding with a flawed launch.

These delays are particularly notable given the anticipated strength of April’s Xbox indie game lineup. Both games had been highly anticipated by players, and the postponements represent a significant shake-up to the month’s release calendar. While disappointing for eager players, the delays prioritize game quality, with Outbound arriving in mid-May and the He-Man title launching sometime during summer months.
