There’s a hefty Amazon Resale discount going on AMD’s excellent Ryzen 5 9600X
AMD’s Ryzen 5 9600X processor has seen a significant price reduction on Amazon’s Resale section, with units available in ‘As New’ condition for £131—substantially below its typical £160-£180 price range. The chip serves as the most affordable entry point into AMD’s latest generation of processors.
The 9600X offers modest generational gaming performance improvements over its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7600X, but delivers substantially better energy efficiency, making it an attractive option for value-conscious builders. The processor’s improved efficiency makes it a more practical choice for systems prioritizing both performance and power consumption.
This discount represents a particularly strong deal for budget-conscious consumers, beating even a new unit that briefly sold for £135 the same day. The aggressive pricing on Amazon’s Resale platform—which typically offers returned or open-box items—reflects the competitive processor market and the strong demand for affordable Ryzen chips among gaming and general-purpose computing enthusiasts.
