The Next Lego Lord Of The Rings Set Might Be That $650 City You’ve Been Waiting For
LEGO has announced a massive new Lord of the Rings set depicting Minas Tirith, the iconic capital of Gondor. Images of the set leaked online via LEGO fan accounts Brick Built Blogs and The Brick News ahead of an official announcement.
At 8,278 pieces, Minas Tirith will be the largest LEGO Lord of the Rings set ever produced, significantly exceeding previous releases in the theme. The Rivendell set contained 6,167 pieces, while Barad-dûr featured 5,471 pieces. The expansive piece count reflects the detailed recreation of the multi-tiered fortress city.
The set carries a premium price of $649.99, placing it among LEGO’s most expensive releases and targeting serious collectors and Tolkien enthusiasts. The set is scheduled to launch on June 1, 2026.
This release fulfills years of fan requests for an official LEGO representation of Minas Tirith, one of Middle-earth’s most significant locations from both the books and Peter Jackson’s film trilogy. The leak has generated considerable excitement within the LEGO collecting community.
