Microsoft and Xbox just announced a new games showcase coming this week — here’s when it is, what to expect, and how to watch
Microsoft and Xbox have announced an upcoming games showcase scheduled for this week: the ID@Xbox and IGN April 2026 Showcase. This announcement comes as part of a series of gaming-focused events Microsoft has organized in recent months to promote its upcoming lineup.
The company has maintained a busy schedule of game reveals and showcases throughout early 2026. Microsoft held its Xbox Developer Direct in January, followed by the Xbox Partner Preview showcase in March. Most recently, the company revealed 4A Games’ upcoming sequel Metro 2039 through an “Xbox First Look” presentation last week.
The forthcoming ID@Xbox and IGN showcase will continue this promotional momentum, featuring new and upcoming games headed to Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. The collaboration between Xbox and IGN represents a significant gaming media partnership for the event, positioning it as a key moment for game announcements and reveals.
