Most MTG Strixhaven decks are sold out, but Quandrix Unlimited is still in stock
Magic: The Gathering’s newest set, Secrets of Strixhaven, has arrived with five Commander preconstructed decks for the first time since Tarkir: Dragonstorm. The set features strong reprints and includes the Mystical Archive, a collection of classic Magic spells spanning the game’s history.
Demand for the precons has been highly uneven across the five options. Lorehold Spirit, Silverquill Influence, Witherbloom Pestilence, and Prismari Artistry have all sold out rapidly at retailers. However, one deck stands apart: Quandrix Unlimited remains in stock.
This disparity may surprise players given Quandrix Unlimited’s strengths. The Simic (blue-green) deck is helmed by Zimone, Infinite Analyst, a 0/4 creature that grows larger with counters as you cast X spells. Zimone then uses accumulated counters to discount subsequent spells, creating a powerful engine for X-spell strategies.
The uneven selling pattern reflects different appeal levels among Commander players, with some color combinations and mechanical themes resonating more strongly than others. Quandrix Unlimited’s continued availability suggests it may be overlooked despite its mechanical depth and potential value for players interested in counter-focused strategies.
