Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 officially revealed, coming in 2027 to consoles and PC

Bandai Namco officially unveiled Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event in Los Angeles on April 19, 2026. The action-RPG fighter was previously teased as a project codenamed “Age 1000” and will release in 2027 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

Developed by Dimps, the sequel marks the first new Xenoverse title in a decade, following the 2016 release of Xenoverse 2. The game introduces a completely new Dragon Ball experience set in a distant future, with the story reportedly taking place 300 years ahead. Players will assume the role of a custom hero within the Great Saiyan Squad, tasked with protecting West City in this unexplored Dragon Ball world.

A notable aspect of the announcement is that character designs were created by the late Akira Toriyama, the original creator of the Dragon Ball franchise, ensuring the game maintains the artistic vision of the series’ founder. The reveal also included confirmation that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which has received exceptional support over its ten-year lifespan, will receive one final DLC pack launching this summer before the series moves forward.
