Aion 2, sequel to a beloved Korean MMO, is getting a global release this year from publisher NCSoft
NCSoft has announced that Aion 2, the sequel to the beloved Korean MMORPG Aion, will receive a global PC release in 2026. The game, which has been available in South Korea and Taiwan since late 2025, will launch on both Steam and Purple, NCSoft’s proprietary launcher.
The global release will support multiple regions with dedicated servers across North America, South America, Europe, and Japan. Language support will include English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Chinese, ensuring broad accessibility for international players.
Aion 2 is distinguished by its emphasis on verticality, with the developer positioning it as “the only MMORPG built around a world where the sky is the battlefield.” This core gameplay mechanic sets it apart from traditional MMORPGs that primarily focus on ground-based combat and exploration.
While NCSoft has not announced a specific release date, the company indicated that further information about Aion 2 would be shared in May 2026. The developer team expressed their intention to engage directly with the community and address player questions as the launch approaches.
