Valve Secretly Adds New Steam Controller Unboxing Video
Valve has reportedly uploaded a new Steam Controller unboxing video to the Steam storefront, though the video is currently unavailable for viewing. The discovery comes as Valve continues development of the long-anticipated Steam Machine console. The video, identified with the filename ‘steam_controller_unboxing_2026’, was found on the Steam storefront, suggesting the upload may have been unintentional or premature.
As a major platform holder, Valve is expected to develop various accessories to support the Steam Machine at launch, with the Steam Controller being among the primary peripherals. The video’s presence indicates Valve is preparing promotional materials for the upcoming hardware.
While Valve has not officially announced details about this new controller iteration, the discovery suggests the company may be planning significant announcements about the Steam Machine and its accompanying accessories in the near future. This represents a rare glimpse into Valve’s upcoming product lineup, as the company typically maintains tight control over product announcements and promotional materials.
