Copilot’s shopping upgrade brings Checkout to the mobile app with deeper data from half a million merchants

Microsoft has expanded Copilot Checkout, its AI-powered shopping and payment flow, to the Copilot mobile app in the United States. The integrated checkout feature now draws on deeper product catalog data from more than 500,000 merchants, significantly expanding the merchant network available to users.

Copilot Checkout enables customers to complete purchases directly within the Copilot application without navigating to external websites. The feature streamlines the buying process by combining product discovery, comparison, and payment into a single hands-off experience powered by Microsoft’s AI assistant.

The expansion to mobile represents an important evolution in Copilot’s capabilities, as the feature transitions from web-based availability to mobile accessibility. With half a million merchants now integrated, the feature offers users access to a comprehensive range of products and services. This development reflects broader industry trends toward embedding commerce functionality directly into AI assistants, leveraging conversational AI to reduce friction in the online shopping process.
