LEC Jungler Daglas Will Pull Double Duty for Team Heretics

Team Heretics has announced that Danish jungler Kacper ‘Daglas’ Dagiel will compete in both the LEC (League of Legends European Championship) and Spain’s LES simultaneously, representing Team Heretics’ main roster and academy team respectively. The arrangement will remain in place until the organization finds a replacement academy jungler.

Daglas’ expanded responsibilities followed veteran jungler Théo ‘Sheo’ Borile stepping down from Team Heretics’ LEC roster. Rather than accepting a demotion to the academy team, Sheo refused to compete at the lower level, prompting the organization to promote Daglas to the starting lineup.

The promotion presents a significant challenge for the newly elevated player, who must now manage competing at the highest competitive level while maintaining academy duties. Daglas’ initial LEC performances have been modest, recording just one kill and seven assists across two games against Movistar KOI. Nevertheless, Team Heretics expects him to balance both competitive tiers until a suitable academy replacement is recruited.

This situation highlights the logistical complexities of maintaining both LEC and regional league squads, requiring players to manage competing in two separate competitions weekly. Team Heretics confirmed the arrangement is temporary, emphasizing their commitment to finding a dedicated academy jungler. The move underscores the intensive scheduling demands and roster management challenges facing professional League of Legends organizations across Europe.
