Serial Killer Slasher Heart Eyes 2 Gets 2028 Release Date
Heart Eyes 2, the sequel to 2025’s horror-romance film Heart Eyes, has been given an official release date of February 11, 2028. Director Josh Ruben is returning to helm the project, with a script written by Ruben and Darcy Fowler based on a story by Christopher Landon and Michael Kennedy.
Ruben continues to build his credentials in the horror genre following previous directorial efforts on Werewolves Within (2021) and Scare Me (2020), which he also wrote. He has also appeared in horror television, notably as Brad in the first season of The Creep Tapes.
The original Heart Eyes followed Ally McCabe, a jewelry marketer and romantic misfit who becomes the target of a serial killer known as the Heart Eyes Killer. The Valentine’s Day-themed horror-comedy proved successful enough to warrant a sequel. The February 2028 release date continues the Valentine’s Day timing strategy, aligning promotional opportunities with the romantic holiday while maintaining the original film’s unique blend of horror and romantic elements.
