“We’ve taken it further in every measurable way”: Maingear’s new MG-1 Mk. II looks like the custom gaming PC to beat
Maingear has announced the MG-1 Mk. II, a refreshed iteration of its flagship gaming desktop that builds upon the 2025 MG-1 model. The new system is available for immediate purchase directly from Maingear’s official website, with pricing starting at $1,999.
The MG-1 Mk. II is positioned as a significant upgrade over its predecessor, with the company claiming to have “taken it further in every measurable way.” The system is available in both custom-built configurations and pre-configured models, allowing customers to tailor hardware specifications to their needs. Maingear emphasizes the breadth of hardware options available for the system, underscoring its commitment to customization for enthusiast and gaming audiences.
As a premium custom gaming PC, the MG-1 Mk. II targets the high-end gaming market, competing in a segment where performance and build quality are paramount concerns. The $1,999 starting price positions it as a mid-to-high-tier gaming system, reflecting Maingear’s positioning of the product as a potential category leader.
