Bloodlines 2 Dev Will at Least Try and Make the Vampire RPG Worth Playing

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, which launched to poor reception last year, is receiving its first expansion as developer The Chinese Room attempts to improve the PS5 title. The expansion, titled Loose Cannon, is scheduled to release on April 27, 2026.

Players will assume the role of Benny Muldoon, a Seattle lawman and sheriff whose story will be expanded through four new quests. These quests aim to provide greater context and depth to his character’s motivations and relationships within the main narrative.

The expansion introduces new gameplay elements previously absent from the base game, including first-person gunplay as Muldoon comes equipped with a firearm. Players will also have access to melee weapons alongside the ranged combat options.

Accompanying the expansion announcement, The Chinese Room has released a roadmap outlining additional features and enhancements planned for base game owners. This marks the studio’s commitment to expanding the game’s content and improving the overall experience, signaling ongoing support for the title.
