FaZe Signs Neityu As Stand In After Karrigan’s Departure
FaZe Clan has announced the signing of French Counter-Strike 2 rifler Ryan ‘Neityu’ Aubry as a temporary replacement following the departure of legendary in-game leader Finn ‘Karrigan’ Andersen to Team Falcons. Neityu, who was recently benched by ENCE after spending over a month on the sidelines, will fill the roster gap for three upcoming tournaments: BLAST Rivals Season 1, IEM Atlanta, and Stake Ranked Episode 2. The arrangement covers his participation through May, providing FaZe with a short-term solution while the organization adjusts to Karrigan’s exit.
With Neityu joining the lineup, it appears likely that Russell ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken will assume the in-game leader responsibilities previously held by Karrigan, a critical role in competitive Counter-Strike strategy. Karrigan’s move to Team Falcons was confirmed earlier in the week, marking a significant roster change for FaZe with one of the game’s most respected leaders and strategists. Since Falcons will not be competing in any of the three tournaments where Neityu will stand in, a potential matchup between the organizations will have to wait.
The signing represents a common approach in esports, where teams quickly identify interim talent to maintain competitive integrity during roster transitions. Neityu’s opportunity comes at a crucial time as he looks to rebuild his professional presence after his recent benching.
