Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Next Expansion Sees A Fan-Favourite ‘Mon Take The Spotlight

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is receiving its next major update featuring the new “Pulsing Aura” booster set, launching on April 28th at 2am BST (April 27th at 6pm PDT / 9pm ET). The expansion centers around Mega Lucario ex, a fan-favorite Fighting-type Pokémon that recently ranked in the top nine of a community poll.

The Pulsing Aura set brings multiple new cards to the game, including ex cards for Mega Lucario, Mega Sceptile, and Vaporeon. The expansion also features full art cards for Kubfu and Quagsire, alongside new Trainer cards showcasing Korrina and the location Arena of Antiquity.

Beyond the new card set, the update introduces significant structural changes to the game’s progression system. The developers are discontinuing Dex Missions and Emblem Tickets, replacing them with a revamped mission structure and new in-game events. Additionally, gold card frames are being added to the game.
