Chess Star and Counter-Strike Fanatic Sindarov Rejoins Team Vitality Through 2027

Javokhir Sindarov has rejoined Team Vitality through 2027, marking the return of the 20-year-old chess prodigy to the esports organization nearly a year after their initial partnership concluded. Sindarov previously represented Team Vitality from May through September 2025, competing in tournaments including the Esports World Cup 2025 where he placed 13th-16th.

Since departing the organization, Sindarov’s prominence in the chess world has surged dramatically. Most notably, he won the FIDE Candidates 2026 tournament, securing his place at the World Chess Championship where he will challenge India’s reigning champion Gukesh Dommaraju for the title. This victory comes on the heels of his November 2025 triumph at the Chess World Cup, which netted him $120,000 in prize money.

At just 20 years old, Sindarov has established himself as a formidable force in competitive chess. His renewed contract with Team Vitality through 2027 positions him within the esports ecosystem as he pursues the world championship title, reflecting both his elevated status in the chess community and Team Vitality’s commitment to securing high-profile talent across competitive domains.
