AC: Black Flag Remake’s Trailer Didn’t Have Much Blood, But The Final Game Will

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, an upcoming remake of the 2013 original, drew attention at its reveal when viewers noticed a conspicuous absence of blood in the gameplay footage. The action sequences appeared notably sanitized compared to what players would expect from a game centered on stealth kills and combat.

Producer Justin Ng addressed the concerns on social media, clarifying that the reveal presentation had been intentionally “toned down.” He reassured fans that blood will be present in the final release, matching the visceral nature of the original AC Black Flag.

Ng also joked that players wouldn’t need to pay extra for this content, confirming that blood effects are included as standard in the M-rated game. The remake carries the same Mature rating as the original, with ESRB content descriptors warning of blood and violence.

The clarification comes after the livestream premiere generated commentary from viewers about the unexpectedly sanitized visuals, suggesting Ubisoft may have deliberately scaled back graphic content for the reveal event while planning to deliver a more authentic experience in the final product.
