Noah Hawley Confirms Alien: Earth Season 2 Starts Filming This Summer, Promises ‘Bigger Show’
Noah Hawley, showrunner of Fargo and the upcoming Far Cry television adaptation, has confirmed that Alien: Earth Season 2 will begin filming this summer at Pinewood Studios in London. According to Deadline, Hawley revealed that production is in its final preparation stages, with props, sets, and costumes currently under construction.
While keeping specific plot details under wraps, Hawley described the upcoming season as a “bigger show” featuring expanded world-building. Season 2 will continue following Wendy and the other hybrids—synthetic beings housing child consciousnesses—while exploring the ongoing consequences of the deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot’s crash.
The continuation reflects Hawley’s commitment to expanding the Alien franchise’s storytelling universe. The filmmaker’s current portfolio includes the acclaimed crime series Fargo and the forthcoming Far Cry television adaptation based on the video game franchise. The timing suggests new episodes could arrive in 2027, pending post-production completion.
