How to tame the Phoenix in Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert’s latest patch has introduced new pet mechanics, allowing players to tame a variety of creatures including birds and cats. The primary method for taming birds is through the Sotdae of Bond, an item that functions as a bird feeder and can be used to befriend everything from common sparrows to the legendary Phoenix. Players must first complete the Authorized Access section of the Trembling Woods quest to unlock access to the Sotdae of Bond.
The Phoenix taming process differs significantly from other birds, requiring a more demanding approach similar to capturing other legendary mounts like the Silver Fang and White Bear. Rather than using the standard Sotdae of Bond item, players must kill the Phoenix first before they can truly claim it as their own. After defeating the creature, players craft a Sigil of Solidarity through a witch vendor to complete the taming process.
To successfully hunt the Phoenix, players need to prepare with at least one explosive arrow and unlock the Charged Shot skill. They’ll also need to gain access to the Witch’s Lair vendor by completing faction quests. The update also introduces new cat pets, including the Abyss Heuklang, alongside the new Baltheon Armor set, expanding the range of collectible companions available in the game.
